Formerly great; not keeping pace and becoming cripplewear

I am a former Evernote evangelist. It was a wonderful platform, however, it has fallen far behind competing apps in a number of ways. PDF annotation on ipad pro is nearly non-existant, and exporting documents is unwieldly by design. When sharing a document, it is impossible to send it as a PDF—evernote forces the recipiant to sign up for an account to see. Beyond this, much of it’s core functionality is absent on the free version, and longstanding features seem to be frequently moved to pay-only status.

I am a former long-time pro, then plus subscriber. I felt that in the past, the extra data limit was well worth the money. Since evernote has failed to keep pace, It’s quickly loosing it’s usefullness.

Look elsewhere for the leading single-purchase or free note taking apps. I’m happy I did—but wish for Evernote to catch up and regain it’s crown.
